Former President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, was once again the center of Wednesday's news cycle after reports confirmed his New York City apartment had been raided by the FBI.

The agents were executing a search warrant—an execution long-delayed by Trump's Justice Department during his time in the White House—centering around Giuliani's dealings with Ukraine. The officials left the home after seizing multiple electronics.

Giuliani promised a live statement on New York's WABC radio, but was nowhere to be heard on the broadcast and his tweet announcing the broadcast was soon deleted.

But there was one Giuliani on the scene after the raid: Andrew Giuliani, Rudy Giuliani's son and Trump's former Public Liaison Office official.

In an all-too-familiar rebuke, Andrew Giuliani railed against the so-called politicization of the Justice Department and claimed every American should be horrified by the search warrant.

He told the press:

"I'm speaking as his son and a concerned American. Anybody, any American, whether you are red or blue, should be extremely disturbed by what happened here today, by the continued polititization [sic] of the Justice Department. This is disgusting. This is absolutely absurd, and it's the continued polization [sic] of the Justice Department that we have seen."

But it wasn't Andrew Giuliani's words that caught the attention of social media.

The humor website Funny Or Die soon compared the younger Giuliani's grandstanding to a character from comedian Will Ferrell.

And soon, Twitter users across the country were demanding to see Ferrell embody Andrew Giuliani on his old stomping grounds of Saturday Night Live.

If Ferrell does rise to the occasion, it wouldn't be the first time Andrew Giuliani has been portrayed on the long-running sketch show.

The first SNL alum to embody Andrew Giuliani was the beloved late comedian Chris Farley, who parodied Andrew Giuliani's antics at Rudy Giuliani's first inauguration for New York City mayor in 1994.

Farley would reprise the character in season 19.

Even in 2021, people remembered Farley's performance fondly.

It's unclear as of now if SNL will give in to make fans' dreams of Will Ferrell playing Andrew Giuliani a reality.
