President Donald Trump is receiving immense backlash for the White House's order to tear gas peaceful protestors in Washington, D.C. so that the President could take a picture with a bible in front of Saint John's Episcopal Church.

Some of that backlash is coming from highly unexpected places.

The far-Right televangelist Pat Robertson—usually a supporter of the President—criticized Trump's overall response to the uprisings taking place across the nation to protest the murder of George Floyd by police in Minnesota.

Watch below.

Robertson said:

"It seems like now is the time to say, 'I understand your pain, I want to comfort you, I think it's time we love each other.' But the President took a different course, he said 'I am the President of law and order,' and he issued a heads up. He said, 'I'm ready to send in military troops if the nation's governors don't act to quell the violence that has rocked American cities.' In fact, he spoke of them as being jerks. You just don't do that, Mr. President. It isn't cool!"

Pat Robertson holds extreme conservative positions on abortion, LGBTQ rights, feminism, and other issues.

His vocal opposition to Trump's handling of the national uprising was unexpected, to say the least.

By no means, however, have people forgotten what Robertson has stood for in the past.
