Who Is Hosting 'Saturday Night Live' Tonight? 3/3/18

Who is hosting Saturday Night Live tonight, March 3? After a three-week break for the Winter Olympics, Saturday Night Live returns with basketball icon Charles Barkley as the host. Hip hop trio Migos will join Barkley as the headlining musical guest. The show will air at 11:30 p.m. EST on NBC.

Barkley, who is hosting Saturday Night Live for the fourth time, is known as one of the greatest power forwards in NBA history.  The NBA calls him "the greatest anomaly" who "often dominated players half a foot taller". Barkley currently works as an analyst on Inside the NBA on TNT. He previously hosted SNL in 1993, 2010, and 2012, according to Billboard.

Barkley has also appeared on the show in spirit, through SNL castmember Kenan Thompson, who frequently impersonates Barkley.

On the other hand, Migos makes their debut headlining appearance tonight on the show. They took the stage last year with Katy Perry for a performance of her single, "Bon Appetit". However, tonight is their first time as the headlining musical guests.

The group released a new song yesterday with Gucci Mane and Lil Yachty called "Solitaire". You can listen to the track on Rolling Stone for free. "Solitaire" is the second collab between Gucci Mane and Migos. They previously teamed up in 2017 on "I Get the Bag" off Gucci Mane's album, Mr. Davis.

In January, Migos released Culture II -- the follow-up to their platinum-selling album, Culture. Rolling Stone gave the new album 3/5 stars and called it "stupefyingly decadent". Culture broke new ground for the group, who formed in 2009. The album soared to the top of the charts and sold 12.5 million singles and albums, according to Pigeons and PlanesCulture launched at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 131,000 units, according to Billboard. In contrast, Culture II debuted at No. 1 with 199,000 units.
