Sean Hannity Slammed for Kissing Up to Trump With 'Insane' Compliment

Fox News // Fox News

Former President Donald Trump has kept a relatively low profile since being banned from Twitter and booted from the White House in January of this year.

This week, the former President gave his first in-person interview to far-right Fox News host Sean Hannity, one of his most vocal supporters in the media.

Trump divulged that even people on his own campaign suspected him of working with Russia in the 2016 election, and he said he was "beyond seriously" considering a run in 2024.

But it's something Hannity said that's generating mockery across the internet.

Watch below.

Hannity heaped praise on Trump's so-called stamina:

"I know a lot of people that are around you every day. This is what they're all telling me: you are working as hard as you did when you were in the White House. Except to play a little golf more. You are keeping an insane schedule, seven days a week. You really don't stop!"

Many of Trump's supporters have taken to praising the former President's energy as one way to ingratiate themselves with the face of today's Republican party. New York Republican Nan Hayworth hailed Trump as having the "vigor and stamina of ten people." Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) said Trump's energy at the Republican National Convention was in "STARK contrast" to that of then-candidate Joe Biden.

People found the similar praise from Hannity laughable.

Many were skeptical about Hannity's claims regarding Trump's work schedule.

It's unclear if Trump will mount another presidential campaign in 2024, or settle for being the most sought-after endorsement of the Republican primaries.
