Days after reviving his vendetta against the late Republican Arizona Senator John McCain, President Donald Trump continued to bash the war hero and 2008 Republican presidential nominee in a five minute diatribe.

While talking to service members and supporters in Lima, Ohio, Trump said of McCain:

"I gave him the kind of funeral that he wanted, which as president I had to approve. I don't care about this. I didn’t get thank you. That's ok. We sent him on the way, but I wasn't a fan of John McCain."

Ironically, Trump's latest complaint came moments after touting his treatment of United States veterans.

Watch below:

Trump's callousness, to many, represented a new low for the President.

People soon pointed out the obvious.

It's difficult for a deceased person to express gratitude.

Trump famously wasn't invited to McCain's funeral, and many of the eulogies—such as daughter Meghan McCain's and former President Barack Obama's—contrasted McCain's decency with Trump's lack thereof.

People were quick to point this out.

A new low, indeed.
