Fox News Anchor Just Slammed Donald Trump for Attacking Her Colleagues on Twitter With Her Own Savage Variation of 'That's Not How Any of This Works'

Accurate.

Donald Trump lashed out at Fox News on Twitter yesterday, accusing Chief White House Correspondent John Roberts and Washington Correspondent Gillian Turner of reporting "FAKE NEWS", apparently for accurately reporting his poll numbers.

Fox News anchor Julie Banderas wasn't having it.

"This is NOT right," she tweeted. "I stand by my colleagues @johnrobertsFox and @GillianHTurner They don’t deserve this. No reporter does."

She then went on to say "Our jobs are not meant to please others. But the office of the @POTUS ought not to be the one lashing out."

She concluded with a familiar refrain:

"That’s not how this country works. That’s not how Freedom of the Press works."

Banderas got a lot of support for her tweets...and no small amount of schadenfreude.

This is the first time Fox News has been lumped into the "fake" category, but they're in good company: CNN, ABC, NBC News, and the New York Times are among outlets the president as called "Enemy of the People."

Some were only surprised that Banderas was surprised.

Fox News was the president's favorite news outlet, and it's baffling why the he would suddenly turn on them - especially when the poll numbers he's so defensive about are lower than ever.

Trouble in paradise, indeed.
