Hours before President Donald Trump was set to give his speech at the final night of the Republican National Convention, Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris gave a speech decrying Trump's pandemic response, racial justice response, and his overall incompetence.

Harris said in one moment of the speech:

"The Republican convention is designed for one purpose: To soothe Donald Trump's ego, to make him feel good, but here's the thing: He's the President of the United States, and it's not supposed to be about him. It's supposed to be about the health and the safety and the well-being of the American people."

As one can likely imagine, the speech was poorly received by supporters of the President, including Trump campaign advisor Mercedes Schlapp.

Schlapp wanted to know why the Vice Presidential nominee was making a speech if she wasn't the Presidential nominee.

As Schlapp and virtually any American who's seen a presidential election play out knows, it's completely commonplace for the Vice Presidential nominee to address the American people alone.

Twitter users didn't hesitate to remind Schlapp of this.

Some sense that Schlapp's tweet was sent out of fear for what November holds.

This is Schlapp's most recent social media gaffe after she levied false accusations against the husband of CNN anchor Briana Keilar.
