Donald Trump Jr. attempted to criticize Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis for a presidential campaign rollout on Twitter that was marred by glitches but inadvertently criticized his own father—former President Donald Trump—instead.

Trump Jr. aimed to attack DeSantis during an episode of his Triggered podcast but misread his own teleprompter, an ironic mistake for someone in the process of criticizing another for technology slip-ups.

After referring to DeSantis as "nasally" and "effeminate," he continued:

"Trump has the charisma of a mortician and the energy that makes Jeb Bush look like an Olympian."

You can hear what Trump Jr. said in the video below.

Trump Jr.'s unintentional insult towards his father did not go unnoticed.

The incident quickly became a source of amusement, with many mocking Trump Jr.'s slip-up on social media.

Trump Jr.'s error came shortly after his father unleashed a series of increasingly bizarre posts across his social media platforms to welcome DeSantis to the Republican presidential race.

Trump's peculiar antics included a video denouncing DeSantis as an ungrateful politician who owes his career to Trump, alongside a peculiar clip featuring what appears to be a SpaceX rocket toppling over and exploding with the words "Ron! 2024" superimposed.

Furthermore, Trump shared an unusual video that mocked DeSantis' entrance into the race during a glitch-ridden Twitter event hosted by Elon Musk, the billionaire Twitter CEO.

In Trump's version of events, the video portrayed not only Musk and DeSantis but also featured Adolf Hitler, the devil, a coughing Dick Cheney, billionaire George Soros, World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab, and an FBI agent openly discussing a plot to "take out" Trump.

Just a day after the glitches got his campaign off to a rocky start, DeSantis drew more mockery after his interview with Eric Bolling on Newsmax glitched for 20 seconds and left him motionless on screen.
