Chris Christie Perfectly Calls Out 'Snake Oil Salesman' Trump For Ukraine War Claim

Chris Christie calls out Trump as a 'snake oil salesman' who will 'bend over to Vladimir Putin' to end the war in Ukraine.

In a Sunday interview on Fox, former New Jersey Republican Governor Chris Christie referred to Donald Trump as a "snake oil salesman."

Christie was once a member of Team Trump, singing his praises in TV interviews during the 2016 presidential campaign and after Donald Trump's electoral college victory.

But Christie got placed on a back burner—not getting a cabinet position or a significant role in the Trump administration.

Now Christie is more likely to point out the twice impeached, multiply indicted and arraigned former Republican President's faults than flatter him.

Christie and Trump have both declared their candidacy for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. They join Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley and Mike Pence.

You can see Christie's latest takedown of Trump here:

Trump had claimed he could end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours.

However Christie pointed out Trump was long on promises, but notoriously short on results.

The former Trump ally said:

"People in the Republican Party, and quite broadly across America, are tired of having political candidates who are snake oil salesmen who just don’t tell them the truth."
“Who tell them whatever they think they want to hear at the moment and then don’t fulfill any of those promises.”

And Christie came with receipts.

“I was there in 2016 when Donald Trump said he was going to repeal and replace Obamacare and failed to do it."
“When he said he was gonna build a big beautiful wall across the entire border of Mexico, and then Mexico was gonna pay for it. We’ve got a quarter of a wall and not one peso from Mexico."
"When he said he was going to balance the budget in four years and added $6 trillion to the national debt."
"And now, yesterday in Iowa, telling people that he would solve the war between Russia and Ukraine in 24 hours."

Christie responded to the bold statement with:

"The only way he could do that is do what he normally does, which is bend down to Vladimir Putin and get him whatever he wants."

His latest poke at Trump put him in the cross hairs of the MAGA minions.

While others saw truth in Christie's statements about Trump’s record.

In the 2016 presidential race, Christie became a member of Team Trump after dropping out of the running for the Republican nomination.

Christie then served as head of Donald Trump's transition team until personal scandals led Trump to dump Christie in favor of Mike Pence just before Trump’s electoral college victory—Trump infamously lost the popular vote to Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
