During a discussion with Maria Bartiromo on Fox's Sunday Morning Futures, former Republican President Donald Trump repeated the rhetoric that Democratic President Joe Biden is mentally impaired.

He segued those unsupported claims into praising anti-vaxxer and conspiracy theorist Robert F. Kennedy Jr just days after the Democratic candidate made antisemitic and racist remarks.

After the two discussed the logic of frontrunners participating in presidential debates, Trump stated of RFK Jr.:

"He’s a very smart person."
"I know a lot of the members of that family, and he’s a very smart guy."
"And he’s hit a little bit of a nerve."

Trump then joined the chorus of right-wingers claiming RFK Jr. is popular with Democrats.

"And a lot of Democrats I know want to vote for him."

Know who isn't constantly saying Democrats want to vote for RFK Jr.?

Democrats.

Trumps accolades for Kennedy are unsurprising as the pair appear cut from the same cloth. Both inherited their wealth and status.

Both also struggle with reality. Trump and Kennedy Both spout unsupported claims and wild conspiracy theories as though they're facts.

Support for Kennedy was in short supply outside conservative circles online.

Democratic strategists chalk up Kennedy’s early polling success to his name alone, but after his views on pretty much anything are shared by Kennedy himself, support dropped.

And it hasn't escaped Democrats notice that Kennedy’s biggest support base are conservatives.
