President Donald Trump and his allies continue to defend his decision to launch an air strike against top Iranian military official, Qasem Soleimani, citing the hundreds of Americans who died at Soleimani's hands.

Trump launched the strike in retaliation to the death of an American military translator and protestors storming the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.

USA Today's opinion division published possibly the second most notable op-ed to come out of President Donald Trump's administration. But unlike the scandalous anonymous op-ed published in the New York Times earlier this year, this one is written by the president. Its allegiance to the truth reflects that.

In the op-ed, the president makes egregious claims regarding a Medicare for All proposal that has seen a huge wave of Democratic support over the last few years.

While President Donald Trump and his supporters tout the results of a straw poll of the approximately 10,000 attendees of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), two polls from USA Today and CNN paint a drastically different story.

The CPAC poll had Trump's approval rating among far right activists and leaders at 93 percent. The president quickly Tweeted the results. His detractors did as well.
