In tonight's game against the Washington Wizards, Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Lebron James put up 20 points, 12 assists and 15 rebounds; good for a triple-double in his third consecutive game. Whenever a player like James does something spectacular, many people begin to think in terms of all-time records. So some are probably wondering, what is the longest streak of triple-doubles in the NBA?

For those who don't know, a triple-double is a single-game performance in which a player records a double-digit figure in at least three of the following five statistics: points, assists, rebounds, steals and blocked shots. The most common triple-double is comprised of points, assists and rebounds.
