In an interview with <a href="http://variety.com/2018/tv/news/this-is-us-season-2-finale-spoilers-old-jack-wedding-1202719623/">Variety</a>, Aptaker says the episode is a "glimpse of what could have been". He also says they're "not doing any b.s. where Jack has secretly survived." Oh, well. We had fun dreaming while it lasted. Even though Jack won't "really" be at the wedding, there is still much to look forward to in the final episode.
