Rep. Cawthorn Gets Brutal Reminder After Saying 'the Left Wants to Destroy the Nuclear Family'

Madison Cawthorn, who seems to have taken it upon himself to come up with the very hottest of takes on Twitter — see his assertion on Sunday that American Olympians apparently decided to switch to representing another country after arriving in China — has seemingly upped the ante on himself.

His latest take is earning him much scorn on Twitter for its sheer hypocrisy.

Cawthorn is an acolyte of the Donald Trump school of politics, in which the scary "left" is responsible for all the ills of society.

Cawthorn's latest supposed threat to the American way of life: the so-called destruction of "the nuclear family."

Cawthorn, now evidently the champion of American Family Values, neglected to mention that his own first marriage ended after just 8 months.

Cawthorn married Cristina Bayardelle, an Instagram fitness influencer, in an outdoor ceremony on April 3rd, 2021. By December, Cawthorn had announced they were divorcing.

Twitter was happy to remind him of this slight detail in his biography.

A few people even suggested Bible passages that Cawthorn, a self-professed Christian, might want to give a quick read.

Matthew 7:3 reads:

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye."

Matthew 6:5 reads:

"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full."

Turns out the Bible had quite a bit to say about hypocrites.

Might want to read up, Madison!
