QAnon Believers Think Trump Sent Them a Message in Morse Code During His Oval Office Address
The White House

The QAnon conspiracy theory web hinges upon the collective delusion that a network of satanic cannibal pedophiles secretly controls the United States government, and that outgoing President Donald Trump was sent to expose them.

Though these claims are patently absurd, this fringe fantasy has been vindicated with the elections of Republican Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Lauren Boebert of Colorado, both of whom have expressed support for the conspiracy theory in the past.

Despite the imminence of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration on January 20th, a faction of these QAnon believers remain certain that Donald Trump will remain in office until at least 2024.

Trump—who has refused to condemn QAnon in the past—has somewhat receded in his lies that the 2020 election was "stolen" by Democrats after these lies incited a siege on the United States Capitol last week, acknowledging that a "new administration" would take over on January 20th.

Banned by Twitter for inciting violence, the President released an Oval Office address hours after the House of Representatives impeached him for a historic second time.

While he still didn't acknowledge that Biden is the legitimate winner of the 2020 election and that his lies about United States election integrity were, in fact, lies, Trump urged his followers not to plan any more violent insurrections in his name.

But QAnon believers focused on Trump's hand movements at the 4:20 mark, where they believed he gestured the Morse Code for "Q."

According to David Gilbert of Vice News, the claim originated on pro-Trump internet forums.

But others found it laughable that Trump could learn Morse Code, given his past gaffes.

Joe Biden will be inaugurated on January 20th, but other QAnon believers are certain Trump will use the emergency broadcast system to expose his enemies and remain in office.
