Conservative media is slamming President Joe Biden's administration for the bungled withdrawal of American troops in Afghanistan after the Taliban overtook Kabul's presidential palace and regained control of the country after 20 years of war that cost hundreds of thousands of lives and nearly a trillion dollars.

The Biden administration has repeatedly emphasized its priority is getting Americans and Afghan allies out of the region by the end of the month, and that no simulation foresaw the Afghan government collapsing to the Taliban in only 11 days.

This week, Fox News contributor Rachel Campos-Duffy lobbed criticism against the Biden administration, but seemed bizarrely fixated on the role she imagined the First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden, played in Biden running for President in the 2020 election.

Watch below.

Campos-Duffy said:

"No one knew better his state of mind than Dr. Jill Biden, and if you ask me, the most patriotic thing Jill Biden could have done was tell her husband―to love her husband―and not let him run in this mental state that he's in. I think she failed the country as well."

Campos-Duffy's odd rant blaming the First Lady for her husband's decision to run for President soon got the attention of the White House.

Dr. Biden's press secretary, Michael LaRosa, called the comments "disgusting" and demanded an apology.

Biden supporters largely agreed.

Meanwhile, the President's critics pushed back.

Campos-Duffy has yet to respond.
