Atlanta Mayor Calls Trump Out for 'Violating the Law' Live on MSNBC as They Show Mask-Less Trump Arriving in Atlanta

As virus cases in Georgia continue to grow, President Donald Trump arrived in Atlanta on Wednesday ahead of remarks at a UPS airport hub.

Georgia's Republican Governor Brian Kemp met Trump on the tarmac, and neither was wearing a mask (Kemp later donned a mask only after realizing he was on camera), but the President remained maskless.

Atlanta has a mandatory mask policy in an effort to curb the spread of the virus, so while Georgia's Republican Governor was happy to welcome Trump, Democratic Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms was none too happy to see the President violating local laws as she appeared on MSNBC.

Watch below.

In an appearance on MSNBC, Mayor Bottoms said:

"Well Donald Trump is actually violating the law as he stands on our tarmac without a mask, and the city of Atlanta owns and operates Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the busiest in the world, and in Atlanta and our city-controlled assets, we have a mandate that you should have on a mask. So I am very glad to see that the others on the tarmac are heeding the law in Atlanta, but it's not surprising to me that Donald Trump is once again breaking it."

Mayor Bottoms recently tested positive for the virus herself and has stressed to the citizens of Atlanta the importance of adhering to the guidance of health experts.

People agreed with her takedown of Trump as he flouted the mandatory measure.

Trump's politicization of mask wearing is widely seen as a substantial hindrance to Americans' collective health.
