In a Tuesday appearance on Fox with Laura Ingraham, Texas Republican Lt. Governor Dan Patrick proposed dropping Democratic President Joe Biden from his state's 2024 presidential ballot.

His suggestion is the latest Republican attempt to retaliate against Democrats for holding former GOP President Donald Trump accountable. Trump lost his spot on the Colorado GOP primary ballot Tuesday after a historic 4-3 ruling.

Patrick told Ingraham:

"Seeing what happened in Colorado makes me think—except we believe in democracy in Texas—maybe we should take Joe Biden off the ballot in Texas for allowing eight million people to cross the border since he’s been President disrupting our state for more than anything anyone else has done in recent history."

People weren't jumping on Patrick's bandwagon.

The Colorado Supreme Court disqualified Trump because of his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol by his supporters. The Colorado Supreme Court ruled he is ineligible to serve as President, so he will not be on their primary ballot, but they stayed their ruling until January 4th as Trump appeals to the Supreme Court.
