Trump Tried to Defend His Record on Women in a Bizarre Tweet and People Immediately Roasted Him For It
President Donald Trump is no stranger to superlatives.
Trump has said in the past that he's done more in his first term than any President in history. He's said he's the "least racist person in the world." He's also said the Russia investigation was the "worst witch hunt in American history."
And on Friday, he posted a tweet with another superlative, this time about what he's done for women.
I have done more for WOMEN than just about any President in HISTORY! As we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of women's voting rights, we should build a BEAUTIFUL STATUE in Washington D.C. to honor the many brave women who made this possible for our GREAT COUNTRY...

...Congress should send me H.R.473 ASAP and make this happen! It will INSPIRE all women to continue being bold and brave in achieving their DREAMS!

Trump urged congress to pass H.R. 473, a bill that would put a statue commemorating the 19th Amendment on federal land in D.C.
While Trump has expressed support for a statue commemorating women's suffrage, the President's actual record on women's rights has been widely criticized. Trump has worked to undo the Obama era mandate that companies with over 100 employees report their workers' salaries to the Equal Opportunity Employment commission which oversees the institution of equal pay.
Only three of Trump's 23 cabinet officials are women, and the President's administration removed terminology like "fetus" from government documents. He also cut the international budget for reproductive health efforts.
There's also the infamous Access Hollywood tape, which was released in the last weeks of the 2016 campaign. The tape features Trump on a hot mic bragging about grabbing women "by the p***y" because "when you're a star, they let you do it."
People didn't hesitate to remind Trump of his record on women.
Grabbing women doesn't count. https://t.co/AlHGNzZxW8

You boasted about sexually-assaulting women
You cheated on women
You paid hush-money, sued women to stay silent
You sent well wishes to a conspirator of a sexual predator who trafficked girls
You separated mothers from their kids
You call powerful women who confront you, “nasty". https://t.co/MEF6Irv93h

A statue is great and all, but how about funding the Postal Service so that women can actually vote? https://t.co/G8X6F6sbwG

Every day with this guy is like a sitcom. You think he's said it all and then he comes back next week and manages to top it. https://t.co/SAvVLQOezL

Others offered a small but significant edit to the post.
Slight edit needed here: More TO women than any president in history. https://t.co/KK7cKfAqtu

Wrong preposition. That should read, "I have done more to women than any president in history!" https://t.co/NXXMbRFuj4
