Florida Republican Congressman and devout supporter of President Donald Trump, Rep. Matt Gaetz, attempted to crash the closed-door testimony of former Trump deputy assistant and advisor on Russia, Fiona Hill, which Democrats convened as part of the impeachment inquiry against the President.

Gaetz doesn't sit on the House Foreign Affairs, Intelligence, or Oversight Committees, which are overseeing the inquiry, but implied that his seat on the House Judiciary Committee entitled him to be present for the testimony. The House Parliamentarian disagreed, confirming that Gaetz was not allowed to attend.

Vice President Mike Pence raised eyebrows when he stayed at Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg, Ireland, 180 miles away from his daily meetings in Dublin.

While Pence's staff claimed this was because it was Pence's "ancestral hometown," people were still crying foul.

During a days long tweet storm that he's yet to move on from, President Donald Trump called Congressman Elijah Cummings (D-MD) a racist after insulting the congressman's district, Baltimore, as a "rat and rodent infested mess," claiming that "no human being would want to live there.

While Democrats are coming out firmly against the president's characterization of both Cummings—a civil rights activist in the 1960s—and the primarily black city of Baltimore, Trump's Republican allies have been more reticent to defend either.

President Donald Trump and the Trump Organization filed suit against House Oversight Chairman Elijah Cummings to block Cummings' subpoena of Trump's financial records. Trump filed the lawsuit this morning in D.C. District Court after Cummings authorized subpoenas for several Trump entities, particularly Mazars USA LLP, the president's longtime accountant.

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on Tuesday tore into Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law and policy advisor, over his reported secret communications with foreign leaders using the encrypted messaging platform WhatsApp.

CNN reported in October that Kushner had been using WhatsApp and a private email account to chat with high-ranking international officials, including Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Kushner also lied on security clearance forms about WhatsApp communications he had in 2016 with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
