Carly Fiorina Calls Trump 'Destructive' and Says It's 'Vital' for the House to Impeach Him, But She May Still Vote for Him in 2020
The 2016 Republican presidential primary likely feels a lifetime away to many American voters, but that doesn't mean it's completely forgotten.
Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina came out in support of impeaching President Donald Trump, against whom she and numerous other Republicans competed for the GOP presidential nomination in 2016.
In an interview with CNN's Poppy Harlow, Fiorina asserted that it's "vital" Trump be impeached, yet she still wouldn't rule out voting for him in 2020.

Fiorina said:
"I think it is vital that he be impeached. Whether removed, this close to an election, I don't know, but I think the conduct is impeachable."
Fiorina went on to criticize Trump's conduct in office, specifically during the impeachment inquiry against him.
Fiorina cited Trump's berating of Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, the decorated veteran who testified before the House Intelligence Committee regarding Trump after being issued a subpoena from Congress:
"Conduct matters, and some of this conduct...I think that conduct is not just unbecoming. I think it's destructive to our republic."
Interestingly enough, Fiorina said that Trump hasn't completely lost her vote, and that it would depend on who wins the Democratic nomination in 2020.
Her rebuke of his conduct in office coupled with the refusal to rule out endorsing him in 2020 was puzzling.

Despite losing the GOP primary, Fiorina was named as Senator Ted Cruz's running mate in 2016 when the primary was down to him and Donald Trump. Cruz is a vocal defender of Trump and is against the impeachment proceedings.
