Protesters stormed the United States embassy in Iraq on Tuesday morning in response to a U.S. airstrike that killed 24 fighters in an Iranian-backed militia.

Though none of the protesters or the fires they started infiltrated the main embassy buildings, they did penetrate the outer level of security before Iraqi security forces could secure the facility. Protesters have vowed to camp outside the embassy indefinitely.

As the situation at the embassy remains urgent, President Donald Trump is spending a twelfth consecutive day at his Mar-a-Lago resort, which he refers to as "the Southern White House."

The uprising was reminiscent of the 2012 Benghazi attack, in which militants attacked U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya.

Among their biggest critics? Donald Trump.

If anyone had forgotten Benghazi, Trump's hypocrisy on the matter reminded them of it.

Nor did they forget Republicans' obsession with Benghazi back when Obama was President and Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State.

So much so that Benghazi was trending on Twitter calling them out.

I'm sure Republicans are just about to call Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to testify about the infiltration of the U.S. embassy in Iraq any minute now...
