President Donald Trump's attorneys are urging a financial firm to ignore a Congressional subpoena demanding the president's financial records, Politico reported on Monday.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-MD) issued a subpoena to accounting conglomerate Mazars USA, which is in possession of Trump's coveted tax documents.

Opportunity was only given 90 days to live after landing on the tempestuous surface of Mars in 2004. Fourteen and a half years past its original 90 day mission, the little rover that could has finally ended its quest.

The news comes months after the Rover stopped replying to commands left by technicians on Earth. Despite over 835 attempts to revive Opportunity remotely, it was declared dead on February 13, 2019.

Aretha Franklin, long considered "one of the giants" of soul music, died today at her home in Detroit, Michigan surrounded by friends and family. She was 76.

Franklin's publicist confirmed her death to the AP.

Former First Lady Barbara Bush, whose love for reading galvanized her efforts to advance universal literacy and who founded the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, passed away at her home in Houston. She was 92.

Bush, long considered one of the more popular members of her famous family, had been in failing health for some time and had been in and out of the hospital multiple times in the last year while battling with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and congestive heart failure. She made headlines after deciding to stop seeking medical treatment to prolong her life.

Former teen idol David Cassidy of Partridge Family fame passed away in a Fort Lauderdale, Florida, hospital this week from organ failure. The entertainer––who retired from live performing earlier this year after revealing his struggles with non-Alzheimer's dementia––was married several times and leaves behind two children.

Cassidy had already been married twice––to actress Kay Lenz and horse breeder Meryl Tanz––by the time he embarked on a relationship with former fashion model Sherry Williams Benedon, with whom he had his daughter, actress Katie Cassidy, who has garnered fans of her own thanks to her role as  Laurel Lance/Black Canary on the CBS television series Arrow. Cassidy reprised her role in The FlashLegends of Tomorrow and in the animated web series Vixen.
