As someone who once claimed (falsely) that he was the "biggest real estate developer in New York," President Donald Trump should not have to think twice about the buildings his company manages keeping his name.
Unfortunately, that has not been the case. Trump's name will be stripped from the facade of another Trump Place building on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, The Washington Post reported on Thursday.
More than half of the residents voted in favor of the measure and the condo board approved it. “Accordingly, arrangements are being made to have the ‘Trump Place’ signage removed from the building façade,” a condo board email read.

A date has not yet been set for removal.
"In addition to ditching the Trump signs," HuffPost reported on Thursday, "the buildings have trashed Trump-embossed lobby mats and Trump-branded attire for concierges and doormen."
The high-rise, located at 120 Riverside Boulevard, is part of a larger complex called Trump City, which the president sold before construction was completed in the 1990s.
Trump's name was emblazoned on the buildings as part of the Trump Organization's management contract.

Originally, there were six Trump Place towers in the development bearing the president's name. Once the Trump name is removed from 120 Riverside, there will be only one - 220 Riverside Boulevard.
Trump's name has been removed from five other properties in New York since the election in 2016. None of them are owned by Trump.

Recently, condominium owners at 200 Riverside Boulevard overwhelmingly voted in October of 2018 to dump Trump from their residence. Two polls were conducted, 69 percent of homeowners “passed a resolution to remove the Signage," according to the condo board.
The Washington Post obtained a board email explaining what happened.
“We are pleased to have resolved this matter democratically. Our entire community has engaged in a thorough and respectful deliberative process regarding how to address the signage on our building,” the board wrote in its email. “We encourage everyone to move forward and respect the will of the community.”
Trump's name has also been scrapped from his branded hotels in Toronto, Panama, and SoHo in New York City.
Trump's name appears on 11 condo buildings in New York City.
