Comedy Central welcomed Drunk History creator Derek Waters to The Daily Show and the network did so in the most perfect way possible.
Because Drunk History made a tradition out of intoxicated celebrities recounting events throughout American and world history, The Late Show created a parody that fit all too well: Trump History.
Using a bizarre speech from October 2018, The Late Show spun together a video starring Waters, informed by Donald Trump’s long-winded descriptions of Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, and the Civil War.
The segment features Waters as Abraham Lincoln, who—at Trump’s narration—takes a risk by trusting General Ulysses S. Grant, and the rest is Trump history.
As it turns out, the pace and tone of the particular speech remain largely similar to the intoxicated narrators usually featured.
Twitter ate the parody up.
Holy shit. That was the best worst @drunkhistory ever.
