Political cartoonist Mike Luckovich posted a cartoon over the weekend, just in time for Easter, absolutely eviscerating Evangelical Christians for their support of Donald Trump.

In the cartoon, Trump can be seen hugging the cross because it's a "Big Beautiful 'T' for Trump" while evangelicals look on crying "So Devout!"

According to a recent Pew Poll, evangelical support for Trump is holding at 78% while his overall approval is at just 39%.

Last month, pro-Trump pastor Robert Jeffress famously said that Donald Trump's affair with Stormy Daniels is "irrelevant" to Evangelicals' support of Trump.

He said:

“Evangelicals still believe in the commandment: Thou shalt not have sex with a porn star. However, whether this president violated that commandment or not is totally irrelevant to our support of him.”

He added:

"Evangelicals knew they weren’t voting for an altar boy when they voted for Donald Trump. We supported him because of his policies and his strong leadership.”
