Republican North Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham continued his unquestioning loyalty to President Donald Trump by defending the President for urging Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate 2020 Presidential candidate, Vice President Joe Biden.

"I don't mind the President bringing up that 'Maybe the [Ukrainian prosecutor] was fired because of a conflict of interest,'" Graham said to reporters.

One reporter asked, "How is it not inappropriate that the President asked the President of another country to look into a political rival who's running for an election, possibly against him if he wins the primary next year?"

Graham responded:

"I don't know what you looked at. I think it's very appropriate for the President of the United States to suggest that you've got a corruption problem and this prosecutor that was fired, maybe it was because he was corrupt. Or maybe it was because he was looking into something close to America here."

Graham is repeating a baseless claim that, as Vice President, Joe Biden facilitated the removal of Ukraine's top prosecutor because he was investigating Burisma Holdings, an energy company for which Biden's son Hunter served as a board member.

Numerous fact checkers have called out the baselessness of the allegation against Biden, from CNN fact checker Daniel Dale to Fox News host Shepard Smith.

Sadly, Graham's spinelessness surprised no one.

Yikes.
