Fox News is President Donald Trump's favorite news network and many of its staff work overtime to make sure the coverage of him is flattering.
That's why it came as a surprise to many when Trump chastised two Fox anchors—Chief White House Correspondent John Roberts and Washington Correspondent Gillian Turner—via Twitter for their coverage of the negotiations regarding funding for Trump's wall at the southern border and Trump's poll ratings with Hispanic Americans.

Trump has been quite forthcoming with interviews for Fox News hosts in the past, often calling in to Fox and Friends, and even bringing hosts like Jeanine Pirro and Rush Limbaugh onstage with him at campaign rallies. Trump's criticism of the outlet is rare and calling its journalists worse than "FAKE NEWS CNN & NBC" is a first.
Neither journalist appears to have responded to the tweet, but swathes of other Americans have.

After the longest government shutdown in American history, Trump finally agreed to a continuing resolution to reopen the government without border wall funding until February 15. Trump has said that if the wall money isn't allocated to his liking, he'd shut down the government yet again.
