Pro-Trump Congressman Creepily Praised QAnon Rep's Press Conference and Twitter Just Threw up a Little
Fox News // Fox News

The Democratic-led House of Representatives voted on Thursday to remove Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) from her committee assignments on the House Committee on Education and Labor, as well as the House Budget Committee.

The move came after Greene prompted ire for her prior support of deranged conspiracy theories, especially the QAnon conspiracy theory, which hinges on the delusion that former President Donald Trump was sent to expose a covert network of satanic cannibal pedophiles secretly controlling the United States government. What's more, before her election, Greene appeared to endorse the execution of her now-colleagues.

The vast majority of House Republicans railed against the accountability measure while distancing themselves from Greene's comments, but in the end, House Democrats unanimously voted to remove her from the committees and 11 House Republicans joined them.

Greene held a press conference on Friday, where she claimed that she'd been "freed" by her release from committees because the "tyrannical" Democrats would have silenced her anyway.

After berating journalists who asked her questions, Greene left the stage.

That's when the virulently pro-Trump Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) issued some creepy words of praise for the Congresswoman on Fox News.

Watch below.

Gaetz told Outnumbered host Harris Faulkner:

"That was so good I almost had to smoke a cigarette afterwards."

The post-coital implication had Twitter really grossed out.

People noticed that even Faulkner seemed taken aback by the sleaziness of the comment.

Gaetz recently offered to resign his congressional seat to defend Trump in his impeachment trial—a move that was met with widespread support from his critics.
