The rise of far-right populist movements, accelerated under former President Donald Trump, has culminated in what is now one of the most harshly divided political climates in modern American history.
A shocking new survey from Bright Line Watch further confirmed this when asking its 2,750 respondents if they'd support secession from the United States of America.
Around 47 percent of Democrats on the West Coast said they would support the move. Even more disturbingly, 66 percent of southern Republicans said they would support seceding from the Union.
Secession was a topic on the Fox News show Gutfeld!—and it was met with a surprising expression of support from right-wing contributor Lisa Boothe.

I don't know, I'm sick and tired of people who hate this country, I'm sick and tired of who are saying the flag is some sort of this sign of evilness or oppression, who despise the country that we live in. I'm tired of the government now, people like Biden wanna weaponize the government against people who supported Trump. ... Would it be the worst thing, peacefully?"
It's unclear how secession from the United States is a logical response to "people who hate this country," but Boothe's musings were met with laughter from the show's hosts.
