George Floyd was murdered by police after an officer held his knee on the handcuffed, subdued Floyd for nearly 10 minutes until Floyd died.
That officer, Derek Chauvin, was finally taken into custody on Friday afternoon, but it's unclear whether or not he's been charged.
As people continued to voice their outrage, President Donald Trump generalized the murder as a "very sad event" and said he would look into whether or not the murder warranted an arrest. Less than two days later—in the early hours of Friday morning—he would call the protestors "thugs" and urge violence against them.
On Thursday night, Fox News host Laura Ingraham attempted to compare Trump's so-called struggles with the FBI to the centuries-long pattern of extrajudicial murders of Black people by police.
Watch below.

Ingraham said:
"To our African American fellow citizens I say this. Given his own experience with an out of control FBI and unfair investigations, given all his work now on criminal justice reform, President Trump knows how poisonous and out of control law enforcement process can be. We should spend more time trying to work together to ensure that we have a fair and just society."
Trump has routinely refused to comply with congressionally approved subpoenas and flouted investigations at every turn. If any other American—especially a Black American—refused to comply with a judicial subpoena, they'd be imprisoned, fined, or otherwise reprimanded.
What's more, the FBI investigation into Russian efforts to interfere with the 2016 election was warranted, and numerous instances in the ensuing report showed members of the Trump campaign welcoming it.
Chauvin still hasn't even been charged with murder.
People weren't here for Ingraham's insulting comparison.
