Picture the time, during the 2016 election, when over a dozen Republicans were vying for the Republican Presidential nomination.
Many of those Republicans—like Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Ted Cruz (R-TX)—saw Trump as a bigoted, temperamental lowlife who wasn't fit to be President.
Flash forward to 2017, where Graham, Cruz, and a slew of others who initially denounced him became Trump's most loyal supporters once he moved into the White House.
You can now add Trump's latest Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany to that list.
The American people know McEnany as one of Trump's most devout defenders during the 2016 and beyond, but newly resurfaced tweets reveal her allegiance to Trump wasn't always so unyielding.
During one of the Republican primary debates, McEnany skewered Trump's lack of preparation, while praising his enemies.

McEnany's criticisms may not have been as biting as other Trump critics-turned-allies, but it does show just how unyielding her devotion to Trump—or to the position of Press Secretary has become.
The woman once capable of pointing out valid critiques of the President now makes the exasperating claim that he's never once told a lie.

This isn't the first time McEnany's past tweets have gotten her in trouble.
During former President Barack Obama's second term, she made a racist crack about his brother living in a hut in Kenya.
