Former President Donald Trump may have been banned from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and a host of other platforms, but that hasn't stopped the former President from continuing to spew his lies about the new administration of President Joe Biden.
Such was the case on Friday, when Trump released a statement slamming Biden's immigration policy for not being harsh enough.
Trump wrote:
"Our border is now totally out of control thanks to the disastrous leadership of Joe Biden. Our great Border Patrol and ICE agents have been disrespected, demeaned, and mocked by the Biden Administration. A mass incursion into the country by people who should not be here is happening on an hourly basis, getting worse by the minute."
Biden's White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked about the statement by a correspondent who attributed Trump's statement to "some Americans."
It didn't go well.

When the reporter eventually divulged that the sentiment came from Trump, Psaki responded:
"We don't take our advice or counsel from former President Trump on immigration policy, which was not only inhumane but ineffective over the last four years. We're going to chart our own path forward and that includes treating children with humanity and respect and ensuring they're safe when they cross our borders."
Much of Biden's immigration reform has yet to materialize. Some Democrats have expressed frustration at the administration's reopening of a child detention facility closed by Trump after widespread backlash, though Psaki said the decision was reached out of a concern for pandemic safety procedures.
Biden attempted to put a 100 day moratorium on new deportations, though Immigrations and Customs Enforcement is bypassing it through litigation.
Regardless, people praised Psaki's assurance that the new administration doesn't value Trump's immigration stances.

The reporter, CBS News' Weijia Jiang, was a frequent challenger of Trump during his tenure in office, but people took issue with her deference to his stance on this question.

For now, the Biden administration seems unfazed by Trump's opinions.
