President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are currently attending the G7 Summit of world leaders in Cornwall, and Republicans are leaping to pick them apart.
Trump spokesman Jason Miller—who is preparing to leave his position—tried to call out Dr. Jill Biden for wearing a similar dress as former President Donald Trump's daughter and advisor, Ivanka Trump.
As a senior White House advisor, Ivanka Trump regularly attended events with world leaders, much to the chagrin of the former President's critics, who felt she lacked the necessary experience to be involved in potentially high-stakes diplomatic negotiations.
Trump would reportedly hand the phone to her when on calls with world leaders, who also sent her extravagant gifts. At least one video of Ivanka Trump being snubbed by foreign heads of state went viral for its awkwardness.
But Miller chose to focus on Ivanka Trump's outfit—and its similarities to Dr. Biden's.
The "Hmmm..." at the beginning of Miller's tweet led some to believe he was accusing Dr. Biden of taking notes from Ms. Trump.
It wasn't well received.
People noted the pattern wasn't exactly a rare one.
Dr. Biden also wore a black jacket with the word "Love" on the back, prompting comparisons to former First Lady Melania Trump's infamous "I really don't care, do u?" jacket.
