Republican Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Matt Gaetz of Florida—two of the most far-right members of Congress—are currently on a national speaking tour, appearing at rallies designed to drum up enthusiasm among the conservative base.

Predictably, their speeches are riddled with lies about everything from the validity of the 2020 election to so-called cancel culture.

What's more, both representatives have their own baggage. Greene was stripped of her committee assignments earlier this year for her prior support of deranged conspiracy theories and the execution of her now-colleagues. Meanwhile, Gaetz is the subject of an FBI investigation into his potential sex trafficking of a minor.

This past week, Greene and Gaetz were set to travel to the deep blue state of California—but the manager of the event space they booked has pulled out.

Javad Mirtavoosi, manager of the Pacific Hills Banquet & Event Center, elaborated on the decision to the Orange County Register:

"As soon as we found out who the speakers were we immediately canceled it. We just want to stay clear of that."

Greene attributed the cancellation to "commies in California" before assuring Twitter followers the pair had booked another location.

Meanwhile, Twitter users commended Mirtavoosi's desire to "stay clear" of the far-right lawmakers.

Meanwhile, Greene's lamentations about California "commies" were widely derided.

The original venue doesn't seem fazed.
