Despite frequent criticisms from President Donald Trump on Twitter for not covering him favorably enough, the conservative Fox News network has largely continued to spin scandals and gaffes in Trump's favor while deriding Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

This often occurs on The Five, which features pro-Trump Fox personalities like Jesse Watters and Greg Guttfeld.

As the 5 pm hour on Election Day arrived, the panel ran through Fox News voter analysis exit polls. Though exit polls often miss the mark and should always be taken with a grain of salt, what the network found signaled a rebuke of the stances it spent four years trying to bolster.

News Director for Media Matters, John Whitehouse, shared screenshots of the results, coupled with the faces of the panel's hosts.



A majority of 71% said they wanted the landmark Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade—a topic that's become all the more relevant with the appointment of Justice Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court—to remain the law of the land.

What's more, a plurality of voters—44 percent—said they felt less safe in Trump's America, despite claims from his supporters that Trump is the "law and order candidate."

A majority of voters strongly or somewhat supported adapting to renewable energy resources and a whopping 58 percent of them thought Trump wasn't tough enough on election meddling from Russian operatives.

Regardless of what the 2020 election's outcome might be, people were still heartened to see the findings.






Some took it as an opportunity to point out that the policies often decried by conservatives as "radical" or "socialist" actually enjoy widespread popularity across the country.



The world waits eagerly to see if these polls reflect the candidate who will come out on top in the 2020 election.
