President Donald Trump once again exchanged tense words with CNN's Chief White House Correspondent Jim Acosta.

At a press conference during the President's visit to India, Acosta asked Trump if he would pledge not to accept any foreign assistance in the 2020 election, amid reports that Russia is once again meddling to help ensure another Trump term

Rather than take that pledge, Trump chastised Acosta and CNN, claiming the network had to apologize recently for false reporting about him.

That's when things went south.

Watch below.

Acosta came to the defense of his network by telling the President:

"Mr. President, I think our record on delivering the truth is a lot better than yours sometimes."

Acosta isn't wrong. To date, Trump has made over 16,000 false statements.

Nevertheless, Trump didn't take well to the comment:

"Let me tell you about your record. Your record is so bad, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. You probably have the worst record in the history of broadcasting."

This is far from the first time Trump and Acosta have collided.

Trump berated Acosta at a press conference in 2018 after Acosta wouldn't let the President evade his question. The White House revoked Acosta's press pass in retaliation, but was later forced by court order to restore his clearance. Around the same time, Trump refused to hear a question from Acosta while on a visit to England, calling CNN "fake news."

People sided with Acosta this time.

Acosta's book, The Enemy of the People: A Dangerous Time to Tell the Truth in America, is available here.
