After over a year of campaigning and more than a dozen candidates, the November election is just over a month away and the first debate between President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden is set to begin Tuesday night.

For months, Trump's campaign has said that Biden is mentally unfit to serve as President, with Trump himself eagerly tweeting about every apparent Biden gaffe on the campaign trail.

But a resurfaced tweet from Trump in 2012 is singing a much different tune.

Not only did Trump warn his followers not to be fooled by Biden's gaffes, but he hailed Biden as a "seasoned and feisty debater."

While the Trump team may currently dismiss Biden as "sleepy Joe" to their supporters, they're working overtime to convince the public that Biden will have an advantage. Trump has publicly called on Biden to take a drug test before the debates, baselessly claiming that Biden is taking performance enhancing drugs.

Conspiracy theories that Biden will secretly wear an earpiece to be fed answers have recently made the rounds in conservative circles as well.

People instantly began using Trump's words against him.

Others were even more amazed by the consistency of the mantra that "there's always a tweet" of Trump's contradicting his current stances.

The first presidential debate will be moderated by Chris Wallace of Fox News. It airs at 9pm Eastern Time on every major news channel.
