Laura Ingraham Praised Biden's Speech Right to Don Jr.'s Face, and Jr.'s Reaction Is the Schadenfreude We Needed
Fox News

Americans across the country tuned in to the final night of the Democratic National Convention on Thursday to watch former Vice President Joe Biden accept the party's nomination for President of the United States.

After days of powerful speeches by former President Barack Obama, former First Lady Michelle Obama, Dr. Jill Biden, and others, the speech was hyped as possibly the most important speech of Biden's political career—his chance to make the case against President Donald Trump and the attacks lobbed at him by Trump's campaign.

Biden overwhelmingly didn't disappoint, making impassioned pleas for goodness and offering condolences to families of those 170+ thousand Americans who lost their lives to the virus that's upended daily life in the United States.

Even far-right Fox News host Laura Ingraham acknowledged that Biden met the moment, despite legions of Republicans anticipating gaffes or a perceived weakness.

Ingraham commended Biden's performance during an interview with Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., who seemed discouraged to hear it.

Watch below.

The smile evaporated from Trump Jr.'s face as Ingraham said:

"He did beat expectations, Don. I mean, people were expecting him to flub every line and have a senior moment...but he delivered a good speech and it was, for what he was doing, very emotional."

Trump Jr. countered by falsely claiming that Biden lied about the President's commendation of those marching with Nazis during the Charlottesville protests of 2017.

People couldn't help but laugh at Junior's dismay.

Meanwhile, praise for Biden's speech flooded Twitter.
