Andrew Turley, The Houston Daughter Sex Trafficker: What We Know

On Friday, Andrew Turley was sentenced to 60 years in prison for trying to sell his 4-year-old daughter for sex, according to the Harris County District Attorney's Office.

A jury sentenced Turley, 30, after he was convicted of trafficking a child and compelling prostitution with someone under the age of 18. He will reportedly be eligible for parole in 45 years.

Here's what we know so far:

He Placed a Craigslist Ad Titled 'Play with Daddie's Little Girl'

In 2015, police located Turley's ad on Craigslist. It was titled "Play with Daddie's Little Girl".

Undercover officers exchanged a series of emails with Turley, posing as a man named "John", according to KHOU. In total, 69 emails were sent.

During the email exchange, Turley wrote that he would "give sleep meds" to his daughter before the encounter, according to reports from the district attorney's office obtained by WVTM 13. Turley also wrote that he would charge $1,000 for two hours with his daughter.

Turley also wrote that his daughter might be "too young for intercourse but everything else was OK."

He and the officer then scheduled a time for 'John' to visit his daughter at her mother's apartment in the Houston area. Prosecutor Ann Johnson told WWLP, "The defendant offered two hours with a child younger than 10. When officers arrived they discovered the complaining witness, a 4-year-old child who appears to be under the influence or in a groggy state, also appeared to be unclothed under the blanket.”

Jeff McShan, a public information officer at the Harris County district attorney's office, is reported as saying, "(Turley) said something to the effect of, ‘Go ahead and touch the child.'... At that point, [he] was arrested.”

He Is Wearing an Army Uniform in a Facebook Photo

Turley's profile picture on Facebook shows him wearing an Army uniform. He has also posted a number of pictures of a young boy who is presumed to be his toddler son.

Assistant DA Stewanna Miskell, a prosecutor on the case, told the Houston Chronicle, "This case broke my heart... A father is supposed to be a protector, not a predator. Jurors saw the need to keep him out of our community."

Turley is a former student at New Berlin High School in Illinois. According to WLDS, his bond was initially set at a half a million dollars per count. Articles from 2015 state that at the time of Turley's arrest, it "appeared" the girl's mother did not know what was happening.
